Must be the WaterThe healing powers of nature... We invite you to slip in to our naturally heated baths at Sycamore Mineral Springs Resort. From the moment you immerse yourself, you will feel its restorative power.
Soaking in hot mineral spring baths is an ancient healing practice tracing its roots from the ancient Egyptians and Romans to our contemporary worldwide culture. As spa historian, Anitra Brown writes, the word Spa is an acronym for the Latin phrase, “salus per aquae” or “health through water.” With its hundred-year history, Sycamore Mineral Springs Resort is among the first true American Spas to emerge with a commitment to integrating the full spectrum of healing arts.
Sulfer is naturally occurring near our hot springs under the property grounds naturally occurring near our hot springs under the property grounds. The smell of sulfur mineral baths is caused by sulfur dioxide gas escaping into the air. Sulfur has been used medicinally since ancient times, and it is contained in every cell in your body. It is a component of three different amino acids (the building blocks that make up protein). Approximately 0.25 percent of your total body weight is sulfur. It is most concentrated in keratin, which gives you strong hair, nails, and skin. It is known as "nature's beauty mineral" because your body needs it to manufacture collagen, which keeps your skin elastic and looking young.
Benefits of Hydrotherapy
Hydrotherapy, or thermal water therapy in hot tub spas, consists of three main healing ingredients; heat, buoyancy, and massage. Together, they create an experience that is both relaxing and healthy. Hot tub hydrotherapy on a regular basis provides physical health benefits that go much deeper than just relaxation and pleasure. Water is so pure and simple, yet it can do the most amazing things. Whether you are experiencing joint or muscle pain, having trouble sleeping, or are just plain stressed out, spending time in hot tub spas can provide therapeutic benefits for just about everyone.
