Awarded ‘The Most Romantic Restaurant in San Luis Obispo’, The Gardens of Avila offers an intimate setting, and features a cozy fireside lounge, elegant dining room, and a century-old stone patio. We serve a Breakfast & Lunch Menu, a Mid-Day Bar & Small Plates Menu, and an extensive Dinner Menu.

Our Dinner Menu boasts an excellent array of flavors ranging from classical dishes, to international flavors. The ‘Chef’s Health & Wellness Menu’ features refreshing, heart-smart options such as our Butternut Squash, Apple & Pecan Salad with Shallot-Thyme Vinaigrette, or our Coriander Crusted Ahi Tuna, with Steamed Baby Bok Choy, Ponzu Sauce, and Sun Spouts. This menu is designed for the light eater with a hearty appetite.

Our Wine Country Dinner Menu offers a rich, savory fare, from Seared Tolenas Farms Quail with Polenta, Pine Nuts, Gorgonzola, and Pomegranates, to Black Pepper Crusted Loin of Venison with Herb Spatzle, Autumn Vegetables, and Black Truffle.

And for our guests who crave a special dining event, we offer our ‘Chef’s Tasting Menus’. Both five-course meals can be paired with suggested local wines, and are created to engage diners in a diverse, delicious experience!
