We are celebrating the Month of April with one of our signature treatments - our Dry Brush Massage. With the weather getting warmer its time to exfoliate your winter skin and get ready to start on your summer glow.

Start with a complimentary thirty minute relaxing soak in our mineral spring waters which is a known comfort to the skin. This simple yet powerful exfoliating treatment effectively removes layers of dead skin and opens the pores to revitalize and increase the skin capacity to eliminate toxins.

Dry brush massage stimulates and increases blood circulation throughout the body while contributing to healthier muscle tone.

Chef David’s Recipe for April

Fish tikka also known as fish skewers is healthy and delicious recipe with exotic flavors to spice any meal or serve at your next bbq.

Marinade:
2 cups plain yogurt
Half an onion minced
1 inch piece ginger peeled and grated
4 ea garlic cloves minced
1 teaspoon ground coriander
1 tablespoon lime juice
1.5 tablespoon gram masala
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1 teaspoon cayenne
2 tablespoon tomato paste
1 teaspoon salt

Method: mix half of yogurt with all other marinade ingredients

Garnish:
¼ cup peeled and diced cucumber combined with remaining yogurt
1 tablespoon chopped cilantro and lemon wedges.

Skewers:
1lb swordfish or other firm fish
2 ea red onions cut in chunks
2 ea red and green bell peppers

Method: cut fish into bite size pieces and place on metal skewers alternating onion fish bell pepper etc. place fish in marinade for 1 hour. Cook on grill over medium heat until cooked through but not dry serve with cucumber yogurt sauce and lemon wedges.


Local Attractions : Whale Watching
The Grays and the Humpbacks - regulars off the Central Coast during migration times - head north again to Alaskan feeding grounds in late spring (April or May), passing through the Central Coast. The waters off San Luis Obispo County are also home to sea otters and seals year-round. The Patriot boats take eager eco-tourists to see them all. (Winter weekend whale-watching tours are $15 for adults and $10 for children; tours depart Port San Luis at 2 p.m. and return at roughly 5 p.m.)
